Implant replacements is something to consider if you have noticed a problem with your breast following breast augmentation. This could be a change in shape, some discomfort, or a change in the field to the implant. Especially if they feel that they’re going hard. WHAT DOES THE PROCEDURE INVOLVE?

Implant replacement surgery. May involve a simple procedure in which the old implant is removed. And a new fresh implant is inserted. Or, alternatively, it may involve a wide variety of more complex surgical interventions to deal with the capsule, the scar tissue around the implant, and any. Change in position that is needed of the implant. As well as consideration. Regarding any skin laxity or droop to the breast that might affect the breast.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

Breast implants are not lifetime devices. We estimate a 10-15 year lifespan for most implants, but that tends to be an average, with some breast implants lasting many more years but others not quite so long. Therefore, the benefits of implant replacement at an appropriate time will replace an old, possibly damaged implant with a fresh implant. And in addition, implant replacement surgery can address the changing aesthetics that will inevitably happen over time, with any pregnancy-related changes as well as the changes with ageing of the breast.

Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty Surgery Procedure

Surgery to lift the upper eyelids (upper blepharoplasty) is one of the most popular local anaesthetic plastic surgery procedures. It has a quick recovery and the results are very natural, giving a refreshed and brighter appearance to the face. Upper blepharoplasty can be performed as a procedure on its own, but is frequently combined with other procedures, such as surgery to the brow, facelifts, or other plastic surgery operations.

Frequently Asked Questions

The range of procedures means that there is a wide range of potential operative times depending on the exact procedure. This could range from a one hour procedure through to a three to three and a half hour procedure.

For most operations, the initial one to two weeks is the key period of recovery when we would normally advise time off work. However, it takes six weeks normally until exercise can begin again and many months before any post surgical swelling has settled down and you can perceive and assess your final result.

Normally we would advise waiting until six weeks after the surgery.

Complications range from those associated with any operation such as bleeding, infection, wound healing delay, asymmetry and fluid build up through to breast implant specific complications that are similar to those that existed at the first breast implant operation.
