Liposuction is a procedure to reduce fat under your skin and improve your body shape and contour.
Liposuction is done using thin metal cannulas (tubes) attached to suction. Very small incisions are made in the area to be treated, fluid is added to these areas to help with fat removal and then the liposuction is performed. There are different types of liposuction as the suction or fat removal part can be aided with technology such as power-assisted liposuction.
Surgery to lift the upper eyelids (upper blepharoplasty) is one of the most popular local anaesthetic plastic surgery procedures. It has a quick recovery and the results are very natural, giving a refreshed and brighter appearance to the face. Upper blepharoplasty can be performed as a procedure on its own, but is frequently combined with other procedures, such as surgery to the brow, facelifts, or other plastic surgery operations.

Liposuction can provide a significant improvement in your body shape and contour. It is also often combined with other body contouring procedures such as abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), brachioplasty (arm lift) or thigh lifts to enhance their results.
You can be up and about on the day of surgery and we advise one week off work. You will be asked to wear compression/support garments afterwards for four to six weeks. There will also be some form of exercise restriction for four to six weeks afterwards.
Liposuction has a very high success rate and can give long-lasting results provided you maintain a steady and healthy weight. Results are affected by weight gain or significant weight losses or fluctuations.
